Teenage Employment

Having a job is a great and a terrible thing at the same time. All the money you need in exchange for work three or four times a week. Personally I want money but I don't want to work, I'm sure that a lot of people would agree with me. Of course everybody wants the money, but life can get crowded and complicated. School work piles up as your out working on school nights. That's when life gets crazy. Although having a job is nice, maybe we should reconsider our intentions in life.

Simpler

The world is a changing place, every day we have new toys, new stories, and new things to be afraid of. One thing that is changing the most is technology. After one thing breaks, we have a thousand new and better things to replace it. Life is getting easier and easier. Robot vacuums that clean our homes, robots are replacing peoples' jobs in factories. Everything is getting so much easier, its almost like corporations are making life so easy that we don't need any skills or work habits, we always that machine to do it for us. In a world that education is the best its every been, why cant we do things for ourselves.

Justin Bieber is a...

"Nothing ever came out of Stratford" Justin Bieber is quoted in a recent April edition of People magazine. Ed Olczyk, Craig Hartsburg, Garth Snow, Rob Blake, Chris Pronger, Nelson Emerson, Tim Taylor, Greg de Vries, Jeff Halpern, Rem Murray and Boyd Devereaux are all different NHL players that have been produced from the Stratford Cullitons. Richard Manuel of The Band, John Till who backed up Janis Joplin, and Loreena McKennitt are notable home grown musicians. Stratford is the home of the Festival Theatre, the Stratford Chef school and has the host city of Hockey Day in Canada 2010. As you can see, plenty of things have come out Stratford and the surrounding area.

students of the future

There is no doubt in my mind that technology is advancing at a extreme rate. Students of today are more prepared for the technology age then any other generation before us. I can't even imagine what our schools are going to look like in fifty years, even in twenty years. Schools are already getting smart broads. I think that we are only one step away from having robot teachers and skateboard's that hover.

Super bowl of advertising

The super bowl is arguably the biggest day in sports and definitely the biggest day for advertising. Its when everybody is watching one thing, its when companies can reach into as many peoples homes as possible. We know what to expect when we watch the Super bowl, we are expecting to see over the top, expensive ads. I just think that paying $3.1 million for one thirty second ad is a little too much. But it works, after watching all the different ads during class I really wanted a Dr.pepper.

short films

From my point of view, I couldn't pick any short film I liked the wost. If i had to pick any film, I would have to say I enjoyed "the Cat Came Back." It somehow reminded me of my childhood, and i'm not exactly sure why. I think its one of those things that it brings you back to some other time when you saw it the first time or you can relate to it. Kind of how as a audience, we take past experinecs into a sitituation that could change our point of veiw.

photo retouching

Many people strive for perfection, they spend their whole life trying different things to seem younger and more attractive. Everybody wants to be perfect, but nobody can. Even the magazine pictures we see why the super thin models, with the perfect hair and the perfect body. Even they don't look like that. The pictures go through photo retouching. They take already thin people and make them even thinner. I think it is a terrible message to send to the young boys and girls, that you have to be perfect for people to like you or to be a success in life. But that's not the truth, nothing is what i appears anymore.
